We are all born unique.
And that's beautiful.
But is it?
I've learned that what makes us unique can be a curse or a blessing.
It depends on our ability to harness the creative potential of that uniqueness.
I am a restless seeker. I've been since I can remember.
Whatever I learn, discover or find is never enough. Searching is way more exciting than finding for me.
But this made me unquiet, both mentally and emotionally.
Unfortunately, I learned early in life that unquiet people are not good. They didn't fit a world that needed people with a linear life, clear ideas and the ability to stick to their choices without wandering around.
So, I did my best to hide my unquietness deep down.
And by doing so, I made it a curse.
A dark monster lurking in the shadows of my soul.
Whenever we neglect and deny our uniqueness or part of it, we transform it into a curse. A curse that holds us back from shining in all our beautiful, unique humanness.
I now realise what Carl Jung meant when he said, "I'd rather be whole than good."
To be whole, I need to embrace all facets of my uniqueness.
I'm working to do that.
I'm committed to transforming my unquietness from a curse into a blessing.
What makes you unique? How are you making it a blessing?
