#1450 - honour my intuition
Wisdom says we are nothing.
Love says we are everything.
Between these two, our life flows.
Jack Kornfield
I don't know why this quote captured my attention. I don't know how most of my intuitions happen. I know that when it happens, it's pointless to resist. This morning, I tried going in other directions. As much as these words were calling me, I couldn't visualize a post.
I tried other routes. I checked my notes, squeezed my memory, and dug deep into my thoughts. All in vain. Sure, there were some potential ideas to work on, but I kept returning to this quote from Kornfield.
So, I gave up.
I surrendered, and here I am.
I don't know where this process will take me. And that's the funny thing.
I love not knowing. I've learned that there is immense power in not knowing. Yet, old habits are hard to let go. Even when I follow my intuition into the unknown, I do it using my well-oiled thinking strategies. Quite a paradox, isn't it.
Two days ago, a friend reminded me of the importance of honouring my intuition. So, here's what I'm today. I honour my intuition.
I have only one minute left in my writing practice and haven't explored that quote yet. And I know I won't do it in the time left.
But maybe that was its purpose since the very beginning. To remind me to honour my intuition, even when it looks illogical to my rational mind.
