#1432 - I am the answer
Storytelling reveals meaning without committing the error of defining it. — Hannah Arendt
Sometimes I have conversations that open cracks in my perception of reality. And through those cracks, I can see a bit more. Often, I can't explain what I see. Sometimes it takes the form of words, images or sounds. Mostly, it's just a tiny shift, as if something has changed and all things look differently.
Yesterday, I had one of those conversations, after which I was left with these words: I can't define who I am; I can only be.
My life is a story which reveals its meaning, to me and the world, without defining it. What I can do, it's to embrace this story and live it to its fullest.
That is the beauty of the "Who am I?" question. It can be answered in words, images or symbols. Any definition would be incomplete because it would be limited by the boundaries of my thinking mind. And it would also be obsolete because I keep changing and evolving.
So, I won't find the answer to that question.
I am the answer.
