#1428 - knowing your purpose
Knowing your purpose is powerful.
I have no doubts about that.
With clarity about your purpose, you are better suited to fully harness your potential.
So, the energy spent to discover your purpose is well spent.
However, the quest for purpose can also become a trap when you struggle to find it.
I think this is due to a misleading idea of knowing. We believe that we know something when our mind can conceive it. But our mind struggles to comprehend what is not well-formed and defined. The mind understands what can be delimited and described through symbols like words and images.
But the knowledge of purpose doesn't come in words and images. And when it does, what you have is just an approximation. A map for something bigger.
Knowing your purpose is an experience. You sense it by paying attention while you live your life and expanding your consciousness through the lifelong practice of subtraction.
"The mind's knowledge of anything is only as good as its knowledge of itself." — Ruper Spira
