#1419 - Resistance
Every act of moving something from the unmanifested to the manifested is always met with resistance. It may be manifesting a change in you or something else or transforming an idea into a new product or service. You will always have to face resistance.
More often than not, that resistance is within you. Your beliefs and assumptions will question your desires and visions.
Who am I to do this or to become that person? Your rational mind begins dismantling the vision that seemed so perfect and powerful a moment before. Doubts creep in and weaken your conviction. Most visions succumb before they even have a chance to become real.
If your vision is strong enough to move past this first layer of resistance, you are met with the outside world's opposition.
More often than not, those who love you will question your idea and challenge your commitment. Whatever change you want to manifest in your life will challenge what they know, so they will want to keep you as you are. Once you pass that, you will find the resistance of the outer world. And so on.
Yet, resistance is a blessing.
It tests your conviction so you will pursue only the visions on which you are willing to infuse enough energy to make them thrive. Plus, isn't that how we build strength in our muscles? We deliberately add resistance so they can grow.
Rule of thumb: The more important a call or action is to our soul’s evolution, the more Resistance we will feel toward pursuing it. — from Do the Work by Steven Pressfield
