#1343 - cleanse
"If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, Infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things thro' narrow chinks of his cavern." ― William Blake, The Marriage of Heaven and Hell
Today is the first day of the week leading to the Passage for Gamechangers, the most intense subtraction experience on my calendar. Eight days in which we will cleanse the doors of our perception, so we can see better.
And I need it.
Moving through life experiences, I have collected all sorts of stuff that is now hindering my vision. Failures, disappointments, pains, but also success can become like the dirt that sticks to the windscreen of a car. Until I can't see correctly anymore. And when even the windshield wipers are no longer enough, I need to pause for a proper cleanse.
Only then I'll be able to see the learning in the failures, the opportunities in disappointment, and the beauty in my scars.
This is my preparation week, which means I will progressively close off all my engagements while doing an outer and inner inventory of what I will take with me on this pilgrimage.
If you follow this little daily practice, I'll take you with me in this process.
