#1310 - Check your pockets
First of all, I messed up (again) with counting these apples, so I had to amend the titles of the last ten posts. On the bright side, one morning, I went from having 1240 posts to 1310. It's 70 apples more!
It feels like when you wear an old pair of trousers after months and find money in the pocket you didn't know you had. You are not wealthier; that money was already yours. Yet, you definitely feel richer.
I wonder how many resources we have in ourselves that we are unaware of. Maybe because we forget them. Like something we used to be good at but haven't practised for a while and we forgot about it.
Or maybe we convince ourselves that a talent that we have is useless, and we set it aside. Sometimes we just misplace our gifts and, as they say, far from the eyes, far from the heart.
Whatever the reason, we may have more than we think. To unlock that inner wealth of talents and gifts, we don't need to acquire new stuff but to subtract what is getting in the way of our sight. So we can fully see what we have.
And then we will feel richer even if we haven't added anything new.
