#1297 - marks
Everything you do and don't do.
Everything you say and don't say.
Leave a mark on something or someone's existence.
There is no way out of this.
And most of the time, there's no way to know if it will be a good mark or a wound. Sometimes the mark manifests long after what you did or said.
I know you are careful and mindful.
I know you have the best intentions.
You weigh your words, ponder your choices and watch your gestures.
But it doesn't matter.
You will leave a mark in the same way that people who walk through life unaware do.
What you can do is be true to yourself as much as you can, be responsible and own your words and actions, and be compassionate with yourself. And maybe add some colours.
Over time, you can also practice welcoming the marks left on you - the good ones, the painful wounds and the lifelong scars - as prompts to create your unique story with courage, curiosity and compassion.
