#1262 - beauty
"The experience of beauty is the experience of the world dissolving into its infinite essence. It is a revelation of infinity." — Rupert Spira
It's one of those warm days of early august that feels like a gift. The air already carries the signs of the incoming cold season; the sun is shining brighter than ever in a clear sky, warming up the skin, yet under the trees - with their leaves slowly turning into infinite shades of yellow, orange and red - it's a bit chilly.
The mountains are calling, standing fierce in the sun over us and our long morning shadows.
We can't waste such a spectacular morning, so we go for a walk. Better if it's a long one, we have so many ideas to explore, and nothing works better for creativity than a good walk in nature.
We walk for two hours on a rather steep trail that never stops our conversation. What does, every now and then, it's nature: the sound of the woods played by the wind, the bright orange mushrooms, and the trees' incredible ability to find their way to the sun around any obstacles.
But it's when we get to the top that I am reminded of the words of Rupert Spira. Standing there before the mountains, no clouds in the sky, no human sounds, not even my breath as I'm left in awe.
For a few minutes, I can clearly feel in every cell of my body that I am one with everything.
"Beauty is truth, truth beauty, – that is all
Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know."
— from Ode on a Grecian Urn BY JOHN KEATS
